Phoenix Police Asking for Public’s Help in Identifying 4 Men Seen Near Fatal Soccer Game

On Thursday, the Phoenix Police Department asked the public to help find four men believed to have information about the death of 19-year-old soccer player, Tumusifu Bazirake.

The individuals shown in the photos above were in the area during the incident and may have information important to this investigation.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 6th, 2026, at approximately 8:02 pm officers received a call of an unresponsive 19-year-old man in a field at Sueno Park, located near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road. When officers arrived, they learned that Bazirake was involved in a soccer game when a fight broke out. During the fight several suspects assaulted Bazirake before running away.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Bazirake to the hospital in extremely critical condition.

On Thursday August 13th, 2026, investigators were notified that Bazirake succumbed to his injuries.
