A former school bus attendant, Corby Scott Bradford, 73, of Prescott Valley, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in Yavapai County Superior Court.
According to the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office, Bradford’s sentencing occurred after he pled guilty in August 2026 to two counts of Attempted Child Molestation if Bradford is still alive following his prison sentence, he will have to register as a sex offender and be placed on lifetime sex offender probation.
The Prescott Valley Police Department’s investigation began in February 2024, when the mother of a 5-year-old child reported that Bradford had behaved inappropriately, including offering the child candy to touch his genitals and touching the child inappropriately. At the time, Bradford was a Prescott Valley charter school bus attendant. PVPD’s investigation uncovered additional evidence that helped corroborate the child’s account of what had happened.
Yavapai County Attorney Dennis McGrane commended the Prescott Valley Police Department for their thorough investigation, and stated, “Our community trusted Mr. Bradford to keep the kids on his school bus safe. Instead, he chose to victimize a little child for his own perverse sexual desires. I hope the lengthy sentence in this case will send a message that crimes like this will not be tolerated in Yavapai County.”
