The McCain Way: Sunday’s Comic

mccain comic

Meghan McCain tried to throw her considerable weight around on X following Tuesday’s Arizona election, issuing political commandments from her overpriced perch in Washington, D.C., where her distance from Arizona is rivaled only by her distance from political relevance.

Unfortunately for Meghan, her Arizona fan club now consists largely of a handful of neocons, geriatric McCain loyalists, and people who still think a BlackBerry is cutting-edge technology.

Most Arizonans under 40 couldn’t give two f*cks what Meghan McCain thinks. And those who remember her father aren’t exactly lining up to thank the family for the healthcare choices he helped leave behind.

Meghan seems convinced that inheriting a famous last name also means inheriting a political following.

Someone should explain that Arizona isn’t a family heirloom, political influence isn’t hereditary, and the McCain name doesn’t come with a lifetime subscription to relevance.

The family may have moved to Washington, but apparently nobody bothered to tell the petulant and spoiled Meghan that Arizona moved on.
