Pima Community College proposal to end open enrollment subject of community forum

There will be a community forum to discuss the Pima Community College’s (PCC’s) proposal to end open enrollment. The proposed change in the admissions policy would require an admission exam. The purpose of the forum is to learn about the policy and give community members an opportunity to express their perspective on the impact this will have on the community.

The forum will be held at Sunnyside High School, 1725 East Bilby Road, in the school auditorium, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 14. The agenda for the Forum will include a panel presentation and then small group discussion. Bilingual facilitators will be on hand to assist. The results of the Forum will be documented and then submitted as an official record to the PCC Board of Governors during their next scheduled board meeting in September.
