In one of the few business items the Tucson Unified School District Governing Board addressed at this week’s meeting was to hire the same consultant they have used time, and time again, for years. The services provided by Learningtech are expected to cost $60,000 a year.
The contract can and most likely will be renewed through 2016 unless the makeup of the Board or administration changes.
Only Mark Stegeman and Michael Hicks voted against the contract.
The same consultant, who has done so for years, will perform work for which current district employees were hired.
