Isabel’s parents plead for her return

“We are so frustrated to try to understand why this is happening, why this had to happen, why Isabel had to be targeted. To whoever did this, please look at her, look at her, she’s beautiful. There’s so many things that are just so frustrating and so difficult to deal with,” Sergio Celis said this morning on an interview on the “Today Show.”

The Tucson couple, Sergio and Rebecca Celis, parents of missing 6 year old Isabel, gave their first painful and public interview since their little girl went missing.

The obviously distraught parents pleaded with whoever took Isabel from her bedroom the night of April 20. They also pleaded with the public to remain vigilant.

Isabel’s parents last saw her when they put her to bed. They discovered Isabel missing when they went to wake her up for an early morning baseball game.

At the same time, some members of the media were raising questions about Isabel’s family, three little girls were reporting that a man entered their bedroom in the middle if the night and sexually assaulted them.

Despite irresponsible media speculation, Isabel’s parents were advised by the Tucson Police Department to grant interviews whenever they felt comfortable.

Rebecca Celis said she is willing to do “Whatever it takes to get her back, we will do.”

Sergio expressed frustration with the investigation, “We’re desperate in finding out information, we’re extremely frustrated that it’s taking so long. We know we have to be under scrutiny, it is perfectly understandable, but my goodness…. she’s still out there.”

The family has cooperated fully with police.

Sargent Maria Hawke, spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department, said that Investigators have stopped collecting evidence at the family’s home. The family remain at an undisclosed location in the Tucson area.
