Croteau endorsed and arrested on same day

On Thursday September 20, David Croteau, commonly referred to in Tucson as Green Party Dave, was arrested by Tucson Police for a disruption he caused at the Army Recruiting Station on Speedway. Just last week, Croteau had been found guilty by Tucson City Court Judge Klotz, and sentenced for assault of Army recruiters.

Judge Klotz had ordered him to stay off the property.

Croteau screams at troop supporters and harasses Army recruiters regularly in what he claims is an exercise of his free speech.

On Tuesday, Croteau, who is running for Pima County Sheriff this year, missed an opportunity to peacefully exercise his right to free speech at a Pima County Sheriff’s forum.

Croteau was invited to participate in the forum but reportedly his campaign did not respond in time to include him on the agenda according to organizers.

On Thursday, his campaign announced an endorsement and new addition to his campaign; Brian Miller.

Few people remember Brian Miller, former Chairman of the Pima GOP, who was forced out of leadership due his bizarre embrace of deceased drug dealer Jose Guerena and questions about Miller’s less than conservative spending of GOP monies. Few people remember Brian Miller which might be why he’s back in such a public role.

Miller is the titular heard of the Paulbots, a group of mostly Republicans who took Ron Paul’s pretty accurate assessment of the Fed and turned it into a creed for a cult. Their goal this election cycle according to the sane liberals and conservatives who believe Paul has made some good points over time, is to create such chaos that the “establishment” candidates of the Republicans Party will lose, and in four years they along with their fearless leader Paul, will pick the country up out of the ashes.

To that end, Miller “has endorsed Green Party Dave Croteau as his choice for Pima County’s next sheriff,” according to a press release. “Mr. Miller, who is employed at Davis-Monthan as an A-10 instructor pilot with the Air Force Reserves, will serve as a spokesman for the Croteau campaign.”

And some of us thought that service men and women and government employees could not engage in political activities…….
