Horsefeathers!

In my last column, I urged everyone to nullify Obamacare by just saying no to enrollment on the basis that the law was not only unjust, but also because Obamacare failed the Principle of Political Legitimacy smell test.

Now, I am urging you to not only nullify Obamacare by saying no to enrollment, but also to protect yourself from identity theft by saying no to enrollment. A panel of IT professionals unanimously told Congress that Americans should not use Obamacare exchanges on Healthcare.gov because your personal data is not secure.

David Kennedy, the CEO and President of TrustedSec, testified before the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology, stated that “. . . looking at the website [Healthcare.gov] we can see that there is just fundamental security principles not being followed, things that are basic in nature that any security tester . . . would actually test prior to being released.”

In addition to being the Principal Security Consultant for TrustedSec, Kennedy also worked for the National Security Agency and was a cyber-intelligence analyst for the U.S. Marine Corps.

Even the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services concluded that Obamacare’s exchanges may very well end up illegally revealing Americans’ private health care and financial information to criminal hackers. When the choice was to delay the start of Obamacare and receive bad press or roll out insecure and incomplete Obamacare exchanges, Obama decided to expose all Americans who enroll to identity theft and worse.

Americans are under no obligation to subject themselves to identity theft and other crimes just because the government passed a bad law with insecure and incomplete government exchanges.

In fact, the question has to be asked: if an American enrollee in Obamacare has their identity stolen, is the government liable for allowing this American’s information to be stolen? Internet security innovator John McAfee concluded that the exchanges have no safeguards. Additionally, he could set up a fake Obamacare website, gain personal information and clean out your bank account within an hour.

Added to this debacle is the revelation that 30% to 40% of Healthcare.gov is not built. Anyone with some semblance of system knowledge understands that Healthcare.gov will not be “fixed” by November 30th. Obama and Sebilius are only saying it will work better. Horsefeathers . . . you just can’t patch five million lines of code in 30 days.

As Ronald Reagan stated so clearly in his inaugural address, “Government is not the solution to the problem; government is the problem.”

Protect your personal, financial and health care information by just saying “no” to Obamacare.
