Obama has been arrogant, dismissive and derisive toward our allies and conciliatory toward our adversaries. Starting with handing back a bust of Churchill to the British; failure to send a single American representative to Margaret Thatcher’s funeral; insulting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on multiple occasions; failing to attend the funeral of former Polish President Lech Walesa (Obama played golf).
As George Will wrote: “Barack Obama’s increasingly grandiose claims for presidential power are inversely proportional to his shriveling presidency. Desperation fuels arrogance as, barely 200 days into the 1,462 days of his second term, his pantry of excuses for failure is bare, his domestic agenda non-existent and his foreign policy of empty rhetorical deadlines and redlines is floundering . . .”
In February, the Congressional Budget Office stated that by 2021, America will lose 2.3 million jobs due solely to Obamacare. Even without Obamacare, millions of Americans cannot find full-time work because of the uncertainty of Obama policies in the marketplace.
Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel recently announced that the Obama administration plans to shrink the Army to its smallest size since pre-World War II levels.
The Air Force will shrink to its smallest size in its history. The Navy will be downsized to World War I levels.
Under Obama, an unprecedented number of Generals and Colonels have either been fired or “retired.” Lt. General William G. “Jerry” Boykin, Ret., former Delta Force Commander and Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence under President George W. Bush has described it as a purging of the military leadership.
Some 197 Officers, who were suspected of “disloyalty” to Obama or disagreed with the administration on policy, have been purged. Obama seems to ignore the fact that these Officers took an oath of loyalty and fidelity to the Constitution, not Obama. Is Obama’s narcissist paranoia finally coming to the surface?
Not only will America be unable to defend its allies but also it will be severely stretched to defend its basic national security. All this as Russia slowly swallows up parts of Eastern Europe in order to rebuild a geographical Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and China menaces Japan, Taiwan and the South Pacific nations.
It is evident that Obama is on a path to unilateral disarmament, making the United States vulnerable to international blackmail. Obama wanted to make the United States as weak as every other nation. He’s well on his way.
The United States won in Iraq, then Obama lost Iraq. The United States turned the tide in Afghanistan, then Obama lost the country. Obama lost Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria . . . in effect, he agreed to let Iran have nuclear weapons by doing nothing to stop Iran.
Obama did nothing as the Ukraine was invaded and Crimea torn from the heart of Ukraine and made a Russian puppet state. Secretary of State John F. Kerry runs around like a headless chicken as Obama’s peacock helplessly struts around the world stage. Now Eastern Ukraine, Moldova, Latvia and Lithuania are seen as potential Russian targets. And Obama shrinks and neuters America’s military.
Under Obama, America has had the largest deficits and debt. Under Obama respect for America has waned across the globe as he shillyshallied through two terms in office. As America’s champion and President, Obama is a failure. As the master destructor of America, he leads the pack.
It is obvious that Vladimir Putin has no respect for Obama and plays Obama for the international fool he is. Saudi Arabia is disgusted with Obama’s inaction with Syria and Iran. Mitt Romney, who presciently stated that Putin posed a major geopolitical threat to the world during the 2012 presidential campaign, was right on target; again, Obama didn’t get it.
Doug MacEachern, Editorial Writer for the Arizona Republic, recently wrote, “six in 10 voters believe Barack Obama cannot ‘manage the government effectively,’ a huge slide. His intoxicating message of ’08 was that he would transcend politics. Entranced voters believed that meant finding an elusive middle ground. It wasn’t. It was the arrogant assumption that by force of superior personality, he could change minds. He didn’t transcend politics. He just didn’t get politics.”
Obama just didn’t get politics. He didn’t get Catholicism. He didn’t get Putin. He didn’t get Egypt. He didn’t get the Arab Spring. He didn’t get business. He didn’t get health care. He didn’t get limited government.
Obama just doesn’t get it.
