Group calls for Brewer to put National Guard on border

border-crosserArizonans are signing a petition asking the Governor to activate the “National Guard and the State Militia to immediately secure the border with Mexico.” The group calling itself Stand Up Arizona has created The Arizona Resolution, which they say is “designed to gather popular support to encourage Governor Jan Brewer to act.”

The group is accepting sinatures in support of The Arizona Resolution from across the country. The group charges that Brewer has feigned anger but little else.

The group claims that Brewer has the authority “to act under Article IV section 4 of the United States Constitution.”
