On Friday, at approximately 10:23 a.m., Border Patrol agents reported they were involved in a shooting incident with armed suspects, resulting in the death one suspect.
A spokesman said agents from the Tucson Sector reported they were in a gun fight with armed suspects approximately 10 miles southwest of downtown Tucson. Agents recovered multiple weapons.
Agents were deployed to secure the area and locate any additional suspects, who had reportedly been on the scene.
The FBI assumed the investigation.
