Arrest Made in Nicole Rivas Death Investigation

The case surrounding the discovery of the body of Nicole Rivas in the Stanfield desert after she was reported missing to the Phoenix Police Department on June 6, 2015 is still under investigation pending forensic examination results and other evidence processing. There has been no determination as to the cause and manner of the victim’s death and it is still being classified as a death investigation with suspicious circumstances.

Late Saturday afternoon the PCSO  reported that the boyfriend, Rolland Camargo, (DOB 10.9.1975) was arrested late Friday afternoon after making statements that he unlawfully disposed of the victim’s body. He did not admit to having any part in her death, however, he did admit to disposing of her body at the location in Stanfield.

Camargo was booked into Pinal County Adult Detention Center on 1 count of Abandonment of a Body (ARS 13-2926). He was arraigned today and ordered held on a $25,000 cash bond. He remains in PCSO Adult Detention Center.
