Fiorina, Carson Accept Invite To Talk Border Security

So far only Carly Fiorina and Dr. Ben Carson have accepted an invitation to participate in telephone-town halls that will be scheduled over the next few weeks for the major Presidential candidates to participate in their own exclusive 30 minute telephone-town hall about border security.

Led by the Project’s Honorary Chairman and Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, presidential candidates were offered an opportunity to discuss their plan to secure the border with tens-of-thousands of Arizona citizens.

Invited participants include former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, United States Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, United States Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, Ohio Governor John Kasich, former New York Governor George Pataki, United States Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, former Texas Governor Rick Perry, United States Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, United States Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, former United States Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, Businessman Donald Trump, and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

Brian Seitchik, Executive Director of the Arizona Security and Prosperity Project issued the following statement, “Arizona citizens recognize the difference between campaign rhetoric and a tangible plan of action for border security.  With near impunity, untold thousands have streamed across Arizona’s border – creating significant fiscal and security difficulties for state and local governments while the federal government disregards the severity of the problem.  These telephone halls will offer candidates a serious platform to explain how they will secure our border and answer citizen questions directly.”

Sheriff Paul Babeu added, “Local law enforcement witness on a daily basis the problems resulting from a porous southern border.  One of these invited participants will be the future President of the United States and Arizonans deserve the right to know where they stand on border security.”
