Sons of Hell Motorcycle Gang Members Arrested

As a result of a three-year investigation Gang and Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission (GIITEM) detectives served eight search warrants in southern Arizona resulting in four arrests. This week,  after a three-year criminal investigation involving the Sons of Hell Motorcycle Gang, GIITEM detectives from Yuma, Pinal, and Pima counties served five search warrants in Yuma, one search warrant in Casa Grande, and two search warrants in Tucson.

One of the search warrants was served on the motorcycle gang’s clubhouse in Yuma. Items of evidence were located and seized linking the Sons of Hell Motorcycle Gang to criminal activity.

During the warrant services four members or former members were taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants for Aggravated Assault and participation in a criminal street gang. They are:

  • Bernard Daley, 41, Yuma
  • Manuel Valenzuela, 36, Somerton
  • Adam Odya, 45, Casa Grande
  • Matthew Slanina, 29, Tucson

Daley and Valenzuela were booked into the Yuma County Jail, Odya was booked into the Pinal County Jail and Slanina was booked into the Pima County Jail. GIITEM detectives are actively searching for other outstanding suspects.

Sergeant Robert Telles of GIITEM, said, “This Department works diligently on deterring and dismantling the illegal activities of criminal gangs or motorcycle gangs.”

“We will continue to relentlessly pursue fighting against criminal acts committed against the citizens of Arizona,” GIITEM Captain David Nilson stated.

GIITEM Detectives were assisted in the warrant services by Pima Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST), Arizona Highway Patrol Troopers, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), US Border Patrol, BORTAC, Yuma Police Department, Yuma County Sheriff Department, Pima Highway Interdiction Team (HIT), and the Oro Valley Community Action Team (CAT). Further assisting in the investigation were law enforcement authorities from the San Diego, California area.
