In response to the long wait times voters experienced while participating in last week’s Arizona Presidential Preference Primary election, Arizona Rep. Michelle Ugenti-Rita convened a special meeting of the House Elections Committee on Monday, March 28. She stated that the hearing was designed to “understand the factors and decisions that were made resulting in the number of polling locations. In a year when most states experienced record or near record turnout, Arizona should have been better prepared and anticipated the amount of turnout we experienced.”
