On Friday, January 27, 2017, at approximately 12:50 p.m., School Resource Officers working at Catalina Foothills High School took a report of Sex Offenses involving 45-year-old Charles Schubert.
A student at the school reported an inappropriate relationship involving a teacher and another student. The teacher, Schubert, was immediately placed on administrative leave by the school while the Pima County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case.
Crimes Against Children detectives responded and took over the investigation. After speaking with witnesses and gathering evidence, detectives determined Schubert had been engaged in an ongoing sexual relationship with a student at the school.
The case was presented to the Pima County Attorney’s Office and an indictment against Schubert was issued. Schubert has been charged with two counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor and one count of Luring a Minor for Sexual Exploitation.
