
Pima County homicide detectives have identified 25-year-old Miguel Ballesteros as the man found with gunshot wounds in the 3100 block of West Calle Cisne in the early morning hours of April 25, 2017.
Just before 4:20 a.m. on April, 25th, deputies responded to a residence in the 2200 block of West Oregon Street for a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they learned a home invasion had taken place and multiple gunshots were fired.
Witnesses told deputies that multiple suspects had entered the home and one suspect may have been shot as a result of the gunfight.
Ballesteros is believed to be one of four male suspects from a home invasion which took place earlier that morning in the 2200 block of West Oregon Street. Blood evidence collected at both scenes was processed through the Arizona Department of Public Safety Rapid Hit Program which connected the incidents.
The suspects are believed to have left in a white four door sedan. Robbery Assault detectives responded to the scene and have taken over this investigation. Then, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to a cul-de-sac in the area of the 3100 block of West Calle Cisne for a report of a man down. When deputies arrived they discovered an adult male dead in the roadway with apparent gunshot wounds.
Detectives are also searching for 31-year-old Rene Robles, who is a known associate of Ballesteros and is believed to have been with him the night of the incident.
