TPD Homicide Investigation 3201 East Seneca Street

The Tucson Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that occurred last night at an apartment complex located at 3201 E. Seneca St. On June 6, 2017, around 9:45 p.m., officers responded to 3201 E. Seneca St. reference a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, they located an adult male with obvious trauma and immediately began rendering first aid utilizing their Individual First Aid Kits (IFAK). Members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to the scene and assumed treatment of the male. He was transported to Banner University Medical but succumbed to injuries while at the hospital and was pronounced deceased.

His identity is being withheld, pending next of kin notification. Detectives from the Tucson Police Department Homicide Unit responded to the scene to continue the investigation. The investigation is in the early stages and additional information will be released as it becomes available. A suspect has not been identified at this time, however it appears the person or persons responsible were known to the victim and this was not a random act. Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and collect evidence.
