Authorities estimate that the Roach Fire is now 1200 acres. A community meeting is scheduled on Sunday, July 9, at Hayden High School in Winkleman at 5 p.m.
Over 150 fire personnel are working to contain the fire.
Crews are working both the northern and southern ends of the fire. They are also securing the structures on the east side. The Natural Gas and Power Company will be out Sunday to assess whether it is safe to restore the power.
Incident Command will be updating residents on containment and give them a timeline of when they might be able to return to their homes.
