Nogales CBP Officers Seize $151K in Cocaine

CBP officers discovered 13 pounds of cocaine within the rear quarter panels of a smuggling vehicle

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Nogales seized 13 pounds of cocaine worth approximately $151,000.

Officers at the Dennis DeConcini crossing were searching a Toyota Hybrid, driven by a 26-year-old Tucson woman attempting to enter the country, when a CBP narcotics-detection canine alerted to multiple packages of cocaine in the rear quarter panels.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle. The subject was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
