Sierra Vista Man Arrested For Sexual Conduct With A Minor

The Sierra Vista Police Department arrested 20-year-old Sierra Vista resident Jose Ramon Rodriguez, Jr., on Tuesday afternoon for multiple counts of sexual assault and sexual conduct with a minor after following up on a report received Monday night.

At about 10:13 p.m. on Monday, the department received a report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred over the weekend. On Tuesday, detectives followed up on the allegation of a sexual assault perpetrated by a known male suspect.

As a result of the investigation, detectives made contact with Rodriguez at about 4:11 p.m. on Tuesday in the Cochise County Adult Probation Office in Sierra Vista. He was subsequently taken into custody. Rodriguez was booked into Cochise County Jail on three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual conduct with a minor. He is being held in Cochise County Jail on a $500,000 bond and a probation hold.

Rodriguez was arrested on similar charges on Feb. 22, 2017. He has since plead guilty to aggravated assault in that case and was sentenced to three years of intensive probation.
