Detectives Seeking Info On Spring Valley Home Fire

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a fire that resulted in the loss of a home in Spring Valley.  The fire occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. The home was located at 17178 Hillside in Spring Valley.

A disabled couple who occupied the home and lived there for the past 10 years had to be rescued by neighbors. Detectives noted that the actions of these neighbors protected the couple from serious injury or death. Both of the victims did sustain some injuries and were hospitalized briefly before being released.

The home was a total loss. Unfortunately, after the fire destroyed the home, YCSO received reports that looters stole items from the structure including a coin collection.

The investigation is ongoing.

If you have any information about the fire or theft, please call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260. Remember that you never have to give your name and a cash reward is being offered. Refer to case number 17- 023869.
