On July 25th 2017, the La Paz County Sheriff’s Department received an anonymous report of human remains being buried in the Ehrenberg area.
According to authorities, detectives visited a home and in connection with the report, questioned the occupants. Detectives learned that a person from the area of Riverside California came to Ehrenberg in the March time frame and buried a deceased infant at that location.
Deputies were able to locate remains and confirm that they appear to be that of an infant.
Due to the multi jurisdictional issues with this case, the Federal Bureau of Investigations was called in to assist and work a joint investigation with La Paz County.
