Identity Of Pima County Machete Robber Sought

On July 2, 2017, at approximately 4:29 a.m., Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Quik Mart located at 4611 North Flowing Wells Road for a report of a robbery.

When deputies arrived, they learned a man armed with a machete had demanded money from the cash register. The clerk emptied the drawer into a bag and the suspect fled in an unknown direction. Robbery/Assault detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian or Hispanic
  • Approximately 5’11” in height, with a thin build
  • Last seen wearing a black ski mask, black shirt, jeans, and armed with a machete

He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1. You can also submit an anonymous tip, with the potential for a reward, by text, phone, or by going to 88-CRIME.org.
