The Pima County Sheriff’s Department rescued an injured woman Sunday afternoon in the Tanque Verde Falls area.
Deputy Ryan Inglett of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said, “That around 3 p.m., PCSD received a call that a woman had suffered a leg injury at Tanque Verde Falls.”
Deputy Inglett said, ” the department search and rescue crews and a helicopter were deployed. The Southern Arizona Rescue Association (SARA) and the Rural Metro Fire Department assisted in the rescue.”
According to Inglett, after the woman was airlifted out of the area she was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
