Last Day to Request A Phoenix Early Ballot Quickly Approaching

Friday, August 18 is the last day for registered voters to request an early ballot by mail for the August Phoenix City Council Election for Districts 2, 4, 6 and 8. Voters must submit a signed, written request to the Phoenix City Clerk Department to obtain a mail-in ballot for this election. Early ballot request forms are available online or by contacting the City Clerk Department. Signed ballot request forms must arrive at the City Clerk Department by 5 p.m. Friday, August 18.

Voters who wish to vote early in person, rather than by mail, may cast an early ballot at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., 15th floor, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Friday, August 25. Accessible voting devices that permit voters with disabilities to vote independently are available at this location.

Early ballots must be received by the City Clerk Department no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, August 29. Voters who place their voted ballot in the mail should allow for delivery time for the ballot to arrive at the City Clerk’s office by the deadline. The United States Postal Service advises to allow five days for delivery of first class mail. Please note that a mailed ballot with a postmark of August 29 or earlier will not be acceptable if it is received by the City Clerk Department after 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Early ballots also may be dropped off during voting hours at any city voting center on Saturday, August 26, Monday, August 28, or Election Day, Tuesday, August 29.
