Flagstaff Police officers have made four arrests in the murder of Jaron R. James, age 23, at the L Motel located at 121 South Milton Road. Jayda Fortune, age 17, Lawrence Sampson-Kahn, age 18, Kayson Russell, age 19, and Mirelle Gorman, age 16, all from Flagstaff, were involved in the death of James.
On September 7, 2017 at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers with the Flagstaff Police Department responded to the L Motel in reference to a report of a deceased person in one of the rooms. Officers noted several injuries to the decedent, Mr. James.
The Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide.
All four suspects have been arrested, charged, and complaints have been filed for Homicide, Second Degree. No other subjects are being sought or thought to have been involved in this case, according to authorities.
