Cochise County Sheriff Arrests Three, Seizes Meth, Heroin

On January 18, 2018, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit Canine Deputy made a traffic stop on a white SUV in the area of 2nd Street and Witt Drive in Sierra Vista.

The vehicle briefly failed to yield and then finally stopped near 2nd Street and South Canyon Drive.

A male passenger, later identified as 21 year old Bisbee resident Michael Blume, fled from the vehicle. Michael was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

Michael Blume was in possession of meth, heroin, and items of drug paraphernalia. Further, Michael had three outstanding warrants for Probation Violation out of Cochise County.

Michael Blume was booked into the Cochise County Jail on the following charges:

  • Failure to Appear Warrant / Cochise County Superior Court
  • Probation Violation
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Possession of Dangerous Drugs
  • Possession of Narcotics
  • Prohibited Possessor of Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon During Drug Offense

Michael Blume remains in custody without bond.

The driver, 21 year old Kaylie Rooney of Sierra Vista, and 45 year old Bisbee resident Brian Blume, were also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kaylie Rooney was booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of Unlawful Use of Transportation and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, where she remains on a $10,000.00 bond.

Brian Blume was booked into the Cochise County Jail and was released on his own recognizance.

The investigation is being continued by the Street Crimes Unit.
