CBP Agents Find Injured Woman Who Fell From Border Wall

Suggested sinage by OSHA

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Douglas Station provided emergency medical aid to a 25-year-old Mexican woman found late Sunday after she was abandoned by smugglers due to injuries she sustained while crossing the border.

Agents patrolling on the west side of Douglas discovered the woman, suffering from a serious injury after she fell from the border wall. Due to the severity of her injuries, agents contacted the Douglas Fire Department for assistance. Agents continued to monitor and assess the woman’s condition while awaiting arrival of DFD on scene.

Once DFD emergency medical technicians and paramedics stabilized the woman, she was taken to the Douglas Border Patrol Station’s helicopter pad for transport to a local hospital via an air ambulance.

Following the woman’s treatment and discharge from the hospital, agents processed her for immigration violations and returned her to Mexico.
