Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Ajo Station arrested a previously deported MS-13 gang member Friday night.
Agents patrolling west of Lukeville encountered and arrested three Mexican nationals and two Honduran nationals, who were illegally present in the United States.
During processing, agents identified a Honduran national as 36-year-old Oscar Moreno-Mejia, a confirmed member of the MS-13 street gang with criminal history in California.
In 2004, Moreno was convicted in San Francisco for distributing cocaine and sentenced to four years in prison. He was also convicted of felony grand theft in 2008 and sentenced to three years in prison.
Moreno will remain in federal custody pending prosecution for criminal immigration violations. The other four adult men were processed for immigration violations.
