Daughter’s Husband Arrested in Missing Persons Case

43 year old Norman Schrank III commits suicide. Held for Murder of estranged Mother in law.

On May 1, 2018, at approximately 11:00 p.m., deputies responded to a report of two missing persons in the 3900 block of South Amber Rock Avenue. Sachiko McClurg, a 65 year old female, and her daughter, Jeni McClurg, a 40 year old female, had last been heard from at 8:00 a.m. that same morning. Upon arrival, deputies were unable to locate either of the missing persons and, as is customary in missing persons cases, homicide detectives were notified.

The investigation of this incident led to Jeni McClurg being located in Pine Arizona, with her estranged husband.

Further information was uncovered by detectives which led to the probable cause arrest of the estranged husband, 43 year old Norman Schrank III, by Gila County deputies. Charges included Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, and Burglary. Additional charges are pending in Pima County.

Sachiko McClurg is still missing and foul play is suspected.
