Coolidge Man Gets 5 Years For Possession Of Firearm, Drug Trafficking

On May 14, 2017, Bernard Joseph Lee Marrietta, 25, of Coolidge, Ariz., a member of the Gila River Indian Community, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John J. Tuchi to 60 months in prison.

Marrietta had previously pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. At the time of the offense, Marrietta possessed a DPMS, model A-15, 5.56/.223 rifle, and methamphetamine.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Gila River Police Department.
