Pima County Inmate Murder Suspect Dead, Suicide Determined

43 year old Norman Schrank III commits suicide. Held for Murder of estranged Mother in law.

Earlier this week in the early morning at approximately 4:00 a.m., Pima County corrections officers doing their rounds within the Pima County Adult Detention Complex encountered an inmate, 43-year-old Norman Schrank III, who was unresponsive in his cell.

After attempting to resuscitate the inmate, fire department personnel pronounced him dead at the jail.

Homicide detectives responded to the jail and determined the death was a suicide.

Schrank was in jail for the murder of Sachiko McClurg, as well as the Kidnapping of his estranged wife Jeni McClurg, among other charges.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is still seeking any information regarding the whereabouts of Sachiko McClurg. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1. You can also submit an anonymous tip, with the potential for a reward, by text, phone, or by going to 88-CRIME.org.
