Sinema Ridiculed Arizonans As “Crazy” In 2011

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema is taking heat for comments she made about her fellow Arizonans. The most recent controversy surrounds a leaked video in which Sinema calls Arizonans “crazy” at a Texas Democrats event in 2011.

“Because for the past several years, people would watch what’s happening in Arizona and be like ‘Damn, those people are crazy,” Sinema told attendees of th Texas event. “Is it something about the water?’ No, the water’s fine. We swell from Colorado. There’s nothing wrong with the water. They’re just called Republicans. […] And I want to talk to you about some of the things that I think that you can do to stop your state from becoming Arizona. […] Because Arizona is the state of the five C’s. So cattle, copper, citrus, cotton, and climate. And those are the five things that our state historically made its money off of. But I would add a sixth C. It’s called crazy.”

“For someone touting herself as a native Arizonan on the campaign trail, Sinema’s lack of respect for those same voters she’s speaking to is appalling,” said RNC spokesperson Renae Eze. “Every day, voters see more cracks in Sinema’ carefully manicured façade. Come November, voters will pick the candidate that has always respected them, not just pretending to when she’s running for office.”

In the past, Sinema was chastised for calling conservatives “Neanderthals.” Sinema has claimed that stay-at-home mothers were “leeching off their husbands or boyfriends.”

  1. Her chickens have finally come home to roost!
Do not believe her “moderate” BS, she’s an unhinged wacko – reminds me of “cowgirl Kirkpatrick”.

  2. Go ahead; hold your nose and vote for McSally. She’s better than the alternative. The lesser of two evils, so to speak. I looked at her Congressional voting record and it is far from sterling. But, considering the Pinko, tutu-wearing Socialist…well ‘nough said.

  3. Sadly Kyrsten Sinema will be proven right. While she’s made mio secret of being a total enigma of contradiction who will say or do anything while in office, there will those among us who are just crazy enough to vote for her. Not based on her merits, not based on her questionable accomplishments but based only on her party affiliation.
While “Supportive” isn’t one of the colorful adjectives I would use to describe my lack of enthusiasm for McSilly, I’ll proudly fill in her ballot oval knowing that it’s one less vote for the bigger of the two losers running for US Senate.
I remember my first vote for McSilly, she was running against Barber, even then my vote wasn’t out of my support for her, it was simply to unseat the unelected coat tail riding glorified fellow Gabby victim. I always figured I could get rid of him now and her later, who could have guessed things could go so wrong that she’s the only viable option for a Senate seat.
As McLame proved, US Senate seats are abundantly full of glue, apparently once you get your ass stuck in one you never leave, unless your a total Flake.
Just more proof positive that we need to repeal the Seventeenth Amendment and return to the original design.

  4. She had to know she was being recorded and yet she made these statements. Now she is in Arizona telling us how good she will be for us. This woman is obviously too stupid to hold public office anywhere. I’m surprised her opponent hasn’t used this video clip in her ads.

    • I thought it was clear I included myself! I have to be crazy to get into it with you-all!! But I have an excuse — “chemo brain” and old age.

      • @ Albert. I personally love you to read your totally erroneous and slanted input.
I may never agree with a single thing you say or think, but I truly respect your passion and conviction.

  5. She must have been reading the ADI commenters. Or watching the Pima County Board of Supervisors. Or both.
