On Sunday at approximately 3:15 a.m., Chandler Police received a call of a burglary in progress from an apartment complex near Arizona Avenue and West Elliot Road.
According to Chandler Police, an extremely intoxicated man was shot and wounded after he tried to enter the wrong apartment. The resident of the apartment mistook the drunk as a burglar.
The burglar’s wounds are not considered life-threatening.
