A Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputy, 39-year-old Gregory Todd Johnson was arrested for a theft he committed while he was on duty on October 28, 2018.
Johnson responded to a call for service in regards to a dead body in Mesa.
MCSO detectives determined that Johnson may have stolen cash belonging to the dead. Investigators reviewed the evidence, including body camera footage.
Johnson admitted to the theft.
