Enrique Valencia-Lopez was sentenced to ten years in prison after a jury found him guilty of attempting to smuggle a massive load of pot.
In May 2017, Valencia-Lopez drove a commercial tractor-trailer filled with hundreds of wrapped bundles containing marijuana into the United States. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales, Ariz. discovered and seized the bundles which weighed over 13,000 pounds in total.
