Mexican Nationals Caught Smuggling Meth In Pinal County

Two female Mexican nationals are in custody after they were caught smuggling meth through Pinal County. The women were driving along Interstate 10, on Thursday, January 24th at approximately 3:30 p.m.

A Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over the smugglers’ car for a moving and equipment violation.

A search of the vehicle uncovered sixteen cellophane-wrapped bundles of methamphetamines in multiple hidden compartments of the vehicle, which totaled 17.8 pounds.

Ibarra, and passenger, Franco Alvarez are both charged with Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale.
