Three L.A. men arrested for stealing $100K in radiators from Glendale shop

GLENDALE — Jorge Gallegos, Ignacio Moreno, and Adan Martinez, all of Los Angeles, were taken into custody as they drove away from a business, loaded  up with $100,000.00 worth of radiators from a business on San Fernando Road.

At about 7:40 p.m. on Thursday,  Jan. 17, officers responded to a call about suspicious men climbing a ladder over a wall to gain access to a business in the 5000 block of San Fernando Road, said a Glendale Police Department statement.

The men were wearing reflective vests and throwing metal objects over the wall.

Officers arrived on the scene within minutes. They spotted  a truck driving away with a ladder tied down on top of radiators in the truck bed.

The officers stopped the vehicle and detained Gallegos, Moreno, and Martinez.

The owner of the business reported that 100 radiators valued at $100,000.00 were stolen from his business.

Gallegos, Merino and Martinez were booked into the Glendale City Jail on preliminary charges of grand theft. Merino was also being held on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gallegos, who has an extensive criminal history, is on probation for burglary. At the time of his arrest  Gallegos was driving on a suspended license and the vehicle registration was expired.
