Phoenix Police assist in returning emu to its owners

On Sunday, Phoenix Police responded to the area of 65th Street and Cactus Avenue around 6 a.m. in regards to reports of a large bird on the loose.

“Officers were able to secure the pet bird and located the owner after we posted it to social media,” the Phoenix Police Department posted on their Facebook page.

Many Phoenix Police Facebook friends responded that the bird ran “a fowl” of the law.
