Sahuarita Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Crash

A 24-year-old male Sahuarita resident is in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle while traveling south bound on Rancho Sahuarita Blvd, May 24, near midnight.

A Sahuarita Police officer was monitoring traffic on the area of Paseo Campo Verde, when he spotted a motorcycle traveling at excessive speed. According to Sahuarita Police, the officer pulled out to follow the motorcycle, but discovered the rider had already lost control and crashed approximately 150 yards south of Paseo Campo Verde.

Rural Metro Fire Department responded to the location, and after providing medical assistance transported the victim to a Tucson area hospital.

Investigators did not find anything on the scene that indicated any impairment connected to alcohol. Any persons who may have witnessed the collision are asked to contact the SPD by calling 911, or by calling the SPD Tip Line at 344-7847.
