Double Homicide On Tucson’s West Side Under Investigation

Tucson Police are investigating a double homicide that took the lives of
Matt Alford and Lewis Jetty that occurred at Mr. Alford’s residence on Tucson’s West Side.

On June 17, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Tucson Police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of East Navajo Road for a report of a possible homicide. When officers arrived on scene, they entered the home and found Mr. Alford, age 62, and Mr. Jetty, age 60, with obvious signs of gunshot trauma. Both men were pronounced deceased on scene.

The caller told police that she is friends with Mr. Alford and came by to check on him. The door was found unlocked so she entered the home and found the two men deceased inside.

Detectives were able to determine this was not a murder/suicide and is currently being investigated as a double homicide.

Police say that at this time, there are no suspects in custody. Detectives are following up on leads in the case, but are asking anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
