Chief Patrol Agent of the Tucson Sector, Roy Villareal, gave a tour of the inside of a Border Patrol processing center in response to inflammatory claims made by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and other critics of the Trump administration.
Ocasio-Cortez claimed that a thirsty woman was forced drink from the toilet, and detainees were denied the opportunity to brush their teeth among other abuses.
Just left the 1st CBP facility.
I see why CBP officers were being so physically &sexually threatening towards me.
Officers were keeping women in cells w/ no water & had told them to drink out of the toilets.
This was them on their GOOD behavior in front of members of Congress.

CBP Deputy Commissioner Perez echoed Villareal’s claims about the care of illegal aliens.
CBP Deputy Commissioner Perez: I can tell you with the utmost confidence that the migrants, anyone and everyone, in our custody at all of our facilities have ready access to fresh water. They have access to consumables. Watch more via @FoxandFriends: https://t.co/Iw83jqJsiJ

Homeland Security Secretary, Kevin McAleenan, asserted last week that the detention centers were “clean and well managed.”
“All of this received relatively little attention and little action until this past week on the Hill,” stated McAleenan, “but unsubstantiated allegations regarding a single border patrol facility in Clint station in Texas created a sensation.”
Photos taken the border surge of 2013 during the Obama administration have been used in attacks on the Trump administration and Border Patrol.
Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb also spoke out in defense of Border Patrol. Pinal County law enforcement officers struggle with the results of a porous border on a daily basis due to the fact that the cartels have carved out a drug smuggling corridor through their jurisdiction.
On Tuesday, National Border Patrol Council vice president Art Del Cueto, in an interview on KFYI’s James T. Harris radio show, said Ocasio-Cortez’s comments were “upsetting.” He noted that she has attacked Border Patrol before, but questioned how she could “finally go and see it and just flat out lie.”
“I think that is unacceptable, because that is what it is,” said del Cueto. “It is ridiculous to think that agents would tell someone to drink out of a toilet – that’s just dumb. And then to say that we would do it with members of Congress there, just takes it to a whole new level of stupidity.”
