PHOENIX— On Friday, former Goodyear school teacher, Brittany Zamora, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Attempted Molestation of a Child and Public Sexual Indecency in connection to a sexual relationship with a young student.

According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, on March 21, 2018 police were alerted by school staff about a sexual relationship between a 13-year-old and his teacher after the victim’s parents found evidence of the relationship on their son’s phone using a parental monitoring app.

The teen’s parents were also receiving phone calls from Zamora trying to convince the victim’s family not to tell police about her actions.

the investigation revealed that Zamora had initially contacted the victim through text messages over a school break and started a sexual relationship soon after.

Zamora had a sexual encounter with the victim at least once at school while another minor was in the room.

  1. More than a little too harsh! A child abuse may get only 8 yrs, a manslaughter crime only 10 to 15 out in 8. involuntary manslaughter is about 16 months! There is also white collar criminals that only get a few years. It all depends on who you know. Paul Manafort got max of 10 yrs for 5 counts of tax fraud.
