Oro Valley – Oro Valley Police through further investigation into the death of Caitlin Flanagan have confirmed that her death was accidental and a result of a fall.

Ms. Flanagan attended a party on Sunday, July 21, 2019 and left in her vehicle at approximately 2:00 a.m. She forgot her phone with a friend at the party, witnesses told Oro Valley Police (OVPD).

According to OVPD:

Flanagan is observed on video arriving alone at a closed business at 8950 North Oracle Road on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at approximately 2:45 a.m. She attempted to enter the building but it was locked. She is observed walking upstairs to a large, second story patio and attempted to open another set of locked doors.

Flanagan walked out of view of the camera but is never seen walking back down the stairs. At approximately 3:43 p.m., she is observed ascending back up the stairs to the patio and appears injured. She remained on the upstairs patio until officers located her.

Evidence at the scene is consistent with a fall from the second story. An autopsy ruled her death as an accident and revealed Flanagan sustained a head injury consistent with a fall. Environmental conditions were also listed as a contributing factor.
