Casa Grande Police have confirmed the names of two deceased persons found on Wednesday morning in Casa Grande. The man is identified as 49 year old Kerlin Leon Justin, from the Maricopa area and the female is identified as 20 year-old Shaneya Roanhorse from the Chinle area.
This July 31, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Casa Grande Police officers discovered Mr. Justin deceased in/near a wash adjacent to Maricopa/Casa Grande Highway and Val Vista Boulevard.
Later that day, at approximately 6:45 a.m., officers discovered Ms. Roanhorse deceased near a tree line adjacent to Pinal Avenue and Ghost Ranch Road.
The bodies were found approximately 5 miles from each other. Police say that at this time, there is no reason to believe these two incidents are related. Both incidents were reported by passer-by citizens.
Casa Grande Police note that weather could be a factor in both cases. Mr. Justin was found in an area known for flooding and fast moving water during rainstorms, which were experienced in the area on Tuesday night. Ms. Roanhorse was found near a tree line by a major roadway and it is possible that heat could be a factor over the past few days.
