PHOENIX — On Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence arrived in Arizona. The Vice, in his third trip to the state this year, plans to visit parts of the Valley and southern Arizona.
Vice President Pence is also scheduled to attend a reception for U.S. Sen. Martha McSally, who is up for election in 2020. McSally, who was rejected by Arizona voters in 2018 for the seat now occupied by Senator Kyrsten Sinema, is in need of a propping up by Pence.
The Vice President and McSally are scheduled to meet with “establishment” Latino leaders. The list of participants does not include any Latino leaders in the AZGOP. The snub has exacerbated the rift between the Party’s grassroots and what remains of the still powerful McCain camp.
