Gilbert Police are investigating an incident at Little Sunshine Preschool in which seven children were able to wander away from the school. Fortunately passerby’s called 911 and assisted in getting the kids safely back to the school.
According to Gilbert Police, staff were present in the play area, but the gate was outside of the view of the staff members. The staff members have been suspended.
Gilbert Police were notified of the incident at about 9:44 a.m., when three passerby’s driving in the area of Val Vista and Raleigh Bay, noticed the preschool aged children and stopped. Two of the kids approached Val Vista Road’s bike lane when good Samaritans intervened. They notified staff that the kids had gotten away from the school.
