The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is calling on parents and guardians to check candy carefully tonight due to several reports of candy that appears to be contaminated.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the reports came in from the west Valley. However, adults are asked to be vigilant no matter the area.

“We are encouraging parents to please check all candy before consumption for the safety of the community,” advised the Sheriff’s Office. “Please report any suspicious items found to your local law enforcement agency.”
