Lucid Motors’ Casa Grande, Arizona, site is on track to begin production of the all-electric Lucid Air luxury sedan in late 2020. Governor Doug Ducey joined company and local elected officials to celebrate the start of construction of Lucid electric vehicle manufacturing facility.

The facility is expected to create 2,000 direct jobs by the mid-2020s.
According to the governor’s office, the factory is expected to have a positive economic impact on the city, county and state, including:
● Approximately 4,800 direct and indirect jobs by 2029,
● Over $700 million in capital investment by Lucid by the mid-2020s,
● An estimated $32 billion revenue impact for the city and county over a 20-year period,
● And training programs and new curriculums at local community colleges.
In fact, according to the company, while factory construction continues, the first members of the “Casa Grande assembly team are working alongside our engineers at the Silicon Valley headquarters building the next generation of Lucid Air prototypes. This advance team includes recent graduates of the Automated Industrial Technology program at Central Arizona College, a course of study which was co-developed by Lucid Motors. “
